There are various reasons for practising yoga: general fitness and health, flexibility and strength, lower back pain, weight loss, stress or anxiety, energy levels, quality of sleep...the list is endless. Sometimes our individual needs are not specifically addressed in group classes.


Your personalised, convenient private yoga program works towards your goals. It can take place in your home, office or local studio, with a weekly appointment at the perfect time for you. The sessions are suitable for any level, beginner to advanced; and applicable to any situation, be it health, fitness or something more.

I am pleased to create a space for individuals to restore physically and mentally through yoga practice and return to their jobs, families, and personal lives feeling grounded, focused, and clear.

Nicola teaches the following vinyasa yoga classes:

Mondays 11am - 12pm at Dorking Lawn Tennis and Squash Club

Wednesdays 7.30pm - 8.30pm at Fetcham Village Hall

Thursdays 10am - 11am at Fetcham Village Hall

Saturdays 9am - 10am at Dorking Lawn Tennis and Squash Club


 Nicola Barnard


Nicola first started practising yoga over 15 years ago to primarily help with injuries, strength and flexibility.

Over the years her knowledge and experience in yoga, anatomy, physiology and psychology has evolved through extensive self-study, as well as trainings with teachers from the US, Canada, Bermuda and the UK.

Nicola’s intention as a yoga teacher is to share what she has learnt over the years, to help others with their practice. Whilst Nicola enjoys teaching stronger flows like hatha and vinyasa flow, focusing on strength, flexibility and fitness, it is always with a mindfulness to only go as far as the body allows. In recent years she has also begun to appreciate more restorative practices, such as yin and meditation and as such has begun to incorporate these practices into her classes.

Her training and qualifications include:

  • 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher

  • NASM Level 3 Certified Personal Trainer

  • Mind Mastery for Enhanced Performance
